Campus Coordinator

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Memphis is accepting applications for a Campus Coordinator to oversee the new Bartlett Extension Campus; this is a full-time position.

The Campus Coordinator is directly responsible to the President and assumes designated responsibilities and prerogatives assigned by the President. The Coordinator will assist the President in planning, organizing, and directing the Campus's instructional programs.  The Coordinator is responsible for the supervision of the Campus's day-to-day operations, including the evening programs. As with all other TCAT employees, the responsibilities include assisting with recruitment, interviewing applicants for vacant positions, and evaluating the campus employees. The Coordinator advises potential students to select a proper course of training and provide orientation to new students in the absence of the recruiter/counselor. The Coordinator shall also perform all other duties as directed by the President.

Required Qualifications

A Bachelor Degree from an accredited higher education institution is required, Master's preferred, a minimum of 7 years of organizational management experience is required. Prior workforce development experience a must. The successful candidate must possess excellent computer and communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a good relationship with local high schools, businesses, industries, community agencies, groups, and individuals
  • Supervising and evaluating instructors and staff
  • Attain and retain all Council on Occupational Education requirements and records
  • Review student attendance and conduct academic counseling with students
  • Upon request, provide program information and perform campus tours
  • Assist with new student orientation  
  • Assist in determining prior credit awarded based on military and work experience
  • Ensure faculty are meeting the required completion, placement, and licensure standards
  • Identify and recommend adjunct faculty to hire when needed
  • Coordinate the dual enrollment program with local high schools
  • Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of student records
