FULL-TIME MECHATRONICS INSTRUCTOR POSITIONS

Tennessee College of Applied Technology Memphis is accepting applications for two (2) Mechatronics/Industrial Maintenance Instructor positions for the Bartlett and Main campus. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Technical diploma preferred
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Mechatronics field, preferably within the last five (5) years
  • Must possess good communication and computer skills
  • Strong hands-on technical background in the field
  • Must have strong knowledge in the following areas: safety, tools, and materials, diagnosing, and repairing the various systems found in an industrial setting
  • Must show evidence of good character, organizational skills, and mature attitude
  • Willing to remain current in the instructional field and maintain industry credentials
  • Prior teaching experience is a plus

General Duties:

  • Providing individualized theory and hands-on instruction
  • Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual student progress
  • Maintain student records in the college’s student records management system
  • Submit reports timely
  • Assist in recruitment and placement of students
  • Maintain active industry advisory committee
  • Maintain good relationships with business and industry partners
