The President

Mr. Roland Rayner

Roland Rayner is the President of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology-Memphis under the governance of the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR).  He received an undergraduate degree from UT Martin and a master’s degree from Webster University. Mr. Rayner is a graduate of the TCAT Leadership Academy and the Regents Academic Leadership Institute (RALI). 

President Rayner began his career working in the manufacturing sector in 1978, and has since held positions involving workforce development and postsecondary education, including twenty five years in technical education within the TBR System. Under his leadership, enrollment and graduation rates at the Memphis campus have increased significantly. Mr. Rayner is a member of World Overcomers Outreach Ministries Church, the PeopleFirst Board, WIN Board and TN Board of Regents Sub-council. Mr. Rayner has served in his current position since September 2010.
